Burgeoning fashion label MN-OH came to Groundwave to help them develop a brand identity and the suite of supporting materials needed to launch their new label.
After chatting with MN-OH about their marketing objectives and viewing their launch collection, we knew that we needed to suss out an identity that had just the right balance of sophistication and whimsy. To give the brand a clean, upscale air, we developed a logotype that uses sleek, modern letterforms and paired it with a companion owl mark.
The owl can be positioned inside or outside of the logotype in various positions, which gives MN-OH flexibility while also lending the brand a certain dynamism and personality. The letterforms and mark also work vertically, as seen on the business cards and hangtag, achieving a more abstract look as the owl sits in the "O" as if on a perch.
