We were simultaneously commissioned by 2B Media to develop their brand identity
, as well as an identity and graphical user interface for their subsidiary mShopper, a mobile phone application. As with 2B, the client requested a logo that used the full spectrum of color.
Because mShopper is a product for the mobile space, we decided to develop a logo that played on the idea of pixelation, so that it would render well on small mobile phone screens while exuding a fun, retro-digital sensibility. We went on to design the GUI (graphical user interface) for the mobile app, which allows users to comparison shop using their phone.
Pleased with this work, 2B asked us to develop an informational website to promote mShopper. The primary hurdle with this type of product/application is to convince potential customers of its utility while creating an near-instantaneous understanding of how to use it. To accomplish this, we created a minimal, no-nonsense layout for the website and used a color-coded, step-by-step approach to explain how to use mShopper.
