Sound design and audio post studio Big Yellow Duck wanted to build out a simple but classy web presence that showcased their work, felt welcoming to potential clients, and represented the company's fun-lovin' personality.
To meet BYD's needs, we designed an incredibly clean site that makes friends with potential clients through subtle iconography and fully customizable content areas. For instance, navigation menu items call up a quacking icon upon rollover, while a blog-style news feed and staff bio area allow the Duck crew to stamp the site with their voice.
The site is backed by a content management system that we custom-designed to allow BYD to easily upload large-format video files to show off new work, as well as update all other site areas on an ongoing basis. We also added a Duck du Jour email template into the mix, so BYD can encourage repeat business through inbox updates.
